Hope Church Painting on Glass

The above is a beautiful, Evening depiction of our Church. It is painted on the glass that separates the Sanctuary from the east room, just behind our Pipe Organ. It is currently a work in progress. The painting is a reflection of the holiday season which includes a large bright star above, glowing with intensity, over a rural winter snow covered landscape. The painting is approximately 24″ by 48″ and is of artist acrylic.

The artist will make additions weekly, throughout the season. There will be a horse and sleigh with a fresh cut pine, neatly secured on the rear of the sleigh. Look for a few trees and other animals within the wonderland in the near future.

The creative Artist, Roger Gascoigne, is a Native Nebraskan that grew up in Saint Joseph, MO. and is a council member of the Church. He grew up drawing, painting, and carving. With a main focus on architecture and waterfowl. He has entered the Missouri Duck stamp contest twice back in the late eighties, which he finished in the top ten on both entries. He has carved over thirty full sized ducks for ‘Ducks Unlimited’ and a turkey for the local ‘Wild Turkey Federation’ along with other bird carvings for collectors.
